Career Opportunities – House Staff / HOHP Counselor

House Staff

A house staff member would be a mature, strong-spirited female with the ability to guide 3-6 female residents in tasks relating to personal care, housing, meals, academics, recreational activities, and trauma-informed care while at House of Hope Piedmont’s Residential Program. House staff will be responsible for supporting positive behavior of the residents, supervising and arranging activities to ensure the proper mental, physical, and social development is provided. Our house staff’s goal is to provide an equitable and nurturing family-style environment within the home.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • One year experience in related field / three years of related experience in related field (strongly preferred)
  • Strong Christian faith and value system (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record with required levels of auto insurance coverage

Hours Available:

This ranges among daytime, nighttime, and weekend hours; PRN, part-time and full-time hours are available.

HOHP Counselor

Our HOHP counselor will be a mature, strong-spirited female who is licensed and equipped to address a variety of mental health challenges, with a variety of therapeutic approaches and modalities. She will be comfortable treating adolescent girls ages 13-17, as well as their families.

We would love for our HOHP counselor to be informed in their counseling from their Christian worldview and will incorporate spiritual principles as their client is comfortable and the need arises to do so. However, this is not a requirement, as the counselor can just focus on mental health needs.

Our counselor will meet with each resident weekly for individual sessions, with their families weekly for individual sessions, with all residents weekly for group sessions, and with the residents and family members as needed for family counseling sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Christian faith and value system (preferred)
  • Licensed by NC to provide counseling services (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT)

Church / Business / Partnerships

House of Hope Piedmont is a faith-based ministry, non-profit organization that relies on partnerships with generous individuals, churches, businesses, and local organizations that share the passion to provide help to struggling teens and their families in our communities.

It is the desire of House of Hope Piedmont to have local churches and local businesses come alongside of us to support our ministry to “heal teens, restore families, and transform communities.”  We rely on these partnerships for referrals to our program, volunteers, and financial support. If you are interested in becoming a partner, please contact Amanda Benton at [email protected].
